Jim founded ApexOne Investment Partners in 2011, is a Partner and Executive Managing Director, and serves on the firm’s Investment Committee. His primary focus is investment strategy, investor relations, and raising new capital for the firm’s funds. During his 39 years in the multifamily industry, Jim has closed over $5.5 billion in real estate transactions while working as a partner or national partner for Hendricks & Partners, Allied Realty Services, and Eton Financial Group.
Jim maintains an active membership in the National Multifamily Housing Council, National Apartment Association, Urban Land Institute, and Houston Apartment Association. In support of his community, Jim stays involved in various charitable services through the Spirit Golf Association and the Whispering Pines Golf Club. As an active alumnus of Gustavus Adolphus College, Jim enjoys being a frequent speaker, a business mentor for student-athletes, and assisting students pursuing business endeavors. He attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN (1982). Jim was an NCAA All-America tennis player three times and NCAA National Champion Doubles player in 1981. Jim combines his business and passionate amateur golfer experience as a principal in Triumph Golf, a boutique investment firm that invests and manages golf course properties. Jim and his wife Harriet have two stepsons, Adam and Andrew, and four grandchildren.
